Online reservations depend on vehicle availability and are manually confirmed with clients through the contact of a representative.

Faro Airport Car Hire Services

What is the Airport Tax?

Currently there is an airport tax of 20€ on the final price of every booking.

Where is the car delivered at Faro airport?

When you exit the arrivals section, go to car park number 4 to meet our representative that will be there with a sign saying Polo. When your pick up your car at a hotel, the delivery will be at the reception desk.

Algarve Car Hire Insurance

What insurance is included in every rental?

Included Insurance ( CDW ): – Covers journey assistance, including substitution of the vehicle when necessary. – Covers all passengers, including medical assistance. – Covers all damages to be paid to third parties. – Covers damages to the vehicle but with a fixed excess as follows :
750,00 € for Groups A, B, C.
950,00 € for Groups C1, D and E.
1.100,00 € for Groups F, G.
To cover the excess a Visa/Credit card or a cash deposit of the value mentioned previously is required on vehicle pick-up.

What is included in the Super CDW?

Coverage : The Super CDW functions like the CDW but there is no excess to be paid by the client, so no deposit is required on vehicle pick-up.
The Super CDW is available at the following daily rates :
7,00 € a day for Groups A, B, C.
9,00€ a day for Groups C1, D, E.
10,00 € a day for Groups F, G.
This Zero Excess Insurance does not cover tyres, locks and windows.

If I purchase the Super CDW do I need a credit card?

Other Algarve Car Hire Questions

Is extra payment required to add an additional driver?

One additional driver is free of charge for online car hire bookings.
For more additional drivers, a cost of 12,50€ will be charged per driver added to the contract.

Is extra payment required for baby and booster seats?

Baby and booster seats must be requested in advance.

The cost of the safety baby seats is 3€ per day to a maximum of 45€.

Are the vehicles equipped with air conditioning?

All rental vehicles in the fleet are equipped with air conditioning.

How many doors do the vehicles have?

All vehicles in the fleet have five doors with the exception of car group F that has four doors.

Is GPS equipment available?

If you need a GPS it must be requested in advance (in the booking), and it has a cost of 5€ per day up to a maximum of 50€.

Is there an extra charge for off office hours pick-up and drop-off of vehicles?

A one-time fee of 20,00€ will be charged for car deliveries between 20:00h and 08:00am. The payment of this supplement must be in cash due the fact that this supplement is kept by the employee. The payment is made at the time of the vehicle pick-up.

What is the payment process if I use the A22 highway?

The use of A22 must be paid. When using the highway, the gateways will automatically register the vehicle in the system.
The tolls have different prices and each Km will be priced at about 9 cents (Example: From Vila Real de Santo António to Lagos the cost is 11,60€).
Our company will be notified and required by law to provide identification of the user / driver of that vehicle. The customer will be notified at the address provided to make payment for using the A22 highway. Regarding this point, if the customer doesn’t want to be notified, the solution outlined below will be the quickest, most convenient and the least expensive:
After 48 hours ofusing the highway, the customer is able to make the toll payment on certain payshops or at any post office in Portugal. After those 48 hours the customer will have a five day period to do make the payment. If after those five days the customer fails to make the payment the customer will receive a notification at the address provided in the rental contract to pay the tolls. The easiest solution is to use the national road, the N125 that does not have tolls.
